Welcome to Longbottom Farm - nestled in a fold of the Mendip Hills beyond the village of Shipham. Here we live and work and grow and flex. There are many reasons why we ended up here....
We are a family working through life's ups and downs. We moved here in late 2023 during a period of upheaval and began a new life. We love this land, our animals, the natural environment around us, and anyone who wants to visit and contribute to this place. We are learning how to take responsibility of this special place. We have big plans!
At its heart this is a place for our family to be safe and thrive. Meeting our individual needs is fundamental to delivering on our aims for the farm.
From bats and birds to bugs and rare but beautiful weeds. There's dormouse in the hedgerows and adders in the grass. We're working hard to protect what's here and maximise the potential of the land for wildlife.
Chickens on patrol, horses on the range, children on the loose. From eggs and hay to meat and cheese - who knows where we'll end up. Our holiday accommodation will allow others to experience this way of life too.
Discover how we’re part of the global fight against climate change - how soil and wetland management can benefit both nature and carbon sequestration and storage. Oh yes, and solar panels - lots of them...
